Just 500m into the race, The Cosmob (NZ) falterered and fell heavily, after suffereing a major haemorrhage, 29th of November, 2008.
The Cosmob's death was mourned by her owners, 30 members of the Manurewa Cosmopolitan Club. A year ago, at the same meeting, the syndicate and hundreds of followers at other Cosi Clubs around the country, celebrated her fifth win.
