Faltered at the 1000m mark, pulled up gradually.
Possible fracture to near fore pastern, vanned off for further evaluation, Pukekohe Park 15th October 2008. He has been added to the missing horses list at right - if anyone has any information about Bullet Proof (NZ) or any horses in the list please let me know.

UPDATE 11/11/2008 ~ Recieved an update on the condition of Bullet Proof (NZ) ....this is really nice to hear and I wish the connections the best of luck with thier horse.

"Bullet Proof was operated on 2 days following the race. His leg has been pinned and appears to have been successful. He will be spelling for 6 months and will be reassessed then if he continues to be a racehorse or becomes a hack as his owners did not want to put him down unless that was the only option."

Not in the Avenues - any word ??

Not in the Avenues faltered just before the line and was pulled up with suspected fractured sesamoids in his near fore, at Phar Lap Raceway on September 14th 2008. He has been added to the Missing Horses List, in the right hand columns.

If anyone can help with information as to his status, it would be greatly appreciated.

Jah Affair (NZ) broke down near the 1400m mark and was pulled up. She was treated and stabilised on course for a suspensory ligament injury to her off fore leg and transported away for further analysis. She was later euthanased due to the severity of the injury, 13th of August 2008.

Camouflage (NZ) on the road to recovery

I'm pleased to announce I have recieved word that Camouflage (NZ) is alive and well and current in the paddock recovering from his break down in April 2008. Camouflage (NZ) was on the 'missing horses' list after his fate was unknown after he was pulled up before the final fence with a tendon injury to front foreleg, at Waikato 30/4/2008.

He will begin his new career as a jumper in the coming months, stay tuned for an update when he returns to work!

Open at Eleven (NZ) - Hit rail, possible fracture off fore cannonbone, Matamata 2nd April 2008 Anchord'Cash (NZ) - Broke down in left foreleg at Riverton, 24th March 2008. Purinsesu (NZ) - Broke down, vanned off for futher observation, Te Rapa 27th Feb 2008. Viaduct Belle (NZ) - Broke down near fore after post, Otaki 22nd Feb 2008. *Update 21/6/2008 Healed well after her injury, will be off to stud in the next few years. Stakes winning 10 year old war-horse Bejayjay (NZ) suffered a sad ending yesterday. After Bennyosler (NZ) fell at the jump near the 600m, Bejayjay (NZ) was unable to avoid the fallen runner and was also brought down. He suffered a fractured near fore leg and was euthanased, 28th June 2008.

Tai Chi Star was born in Australia; sold to HongKong, then came to NZ. He sadly broke his near foreleg in trackwork and euthanased, 4th of August, 2007. He didn't win any races,but he was such a lovley horse, he was the first racehorse/horse i have ever lost (and hopefully only horse i ever loose). I still think about him all the time,he wasnt anything flash on the track,but he was such a gem of a horse and we all loved him.

Top NZ filly Taatletail was euthanased after suffereing extensive damage to a hind leg whilst in her stable, February 2004. This gusty little filly clinched the New Zealand Bloodstock Filly of the Year series by winning the Cambridge Stud *Sir Tristram Classic (NZ-G2) on February 7. Taatletail also strung together wins in the 2003 Highview Stakes (NZ-G3), Indian Danehill Lowland Stakes (NZ-G3), New Zealand One Thousand Guineas (NZ-G1), and the *Sir Tristram Classic and finished second by a nose against males in the '03 Bayer Classic (NZ-G1). She was due to race at Ellerslie on Saturday and then campaign in Australia.

Missing horses alive and well

Missing Horses

Viaduct Belle who broke down in near fore after passing the post 22nd Feb 2008 was saved. She went to Massey Equine Hospital for treatment, and has recovered and healed well. This stable favourite will be off to stud in the next few years. Thanks for the good news.
Also Sir Dylan is alive and well and back in work.
